Every managed incident in this country runs on the Incident Command System. Check-in, chain of command, communications plans, operational periods. A media team that knows the system slots into it. A team that does not becomes one more problem command has to manage.
Our leads came up in the fire service. They know ICS and NIMS, they integrate with command instead of orbiting it, and they deliver on the incident's clock: the record for each operational period, edited, before that period ends.
